Nativity
Friend December 2025 “The Nativity Tradition” Spencer’s family gathered rocks, twigs, flowers, and moss outside. His father explained that it was tradition where they live for families to gather things Heavenly Father has given them in nature to make a place for baby Jesus. Once the materials were gathered they made the stable and the manger with the things they had found outside, and then, on Christmas Eve, they would add the baby Jesus to the Nativity scene. Over the next few days, they gathered by the table to light a candle and sing Christmas songs. Spencer liked how the manger for baby Jesus stayed empty. It reminded him that they were waiting for something special. It helped him think about Jesus and feel closer to him.
